Dear All

My name is Eduardo, and I work for a company provider of training and consultancy (including Prince2), as a Resources Manager.
After doing some research, speaking to some of the attendees to the Prince2 course I became personally interested in this area of businesses (PM and Prince2). I checked prices (cheaper for me of course, Smile) and checked the worth of doing it for my future (careerwise and opportunities), andI have decided to start preparing myself for it.
I will attend the course in a few months in my own offices!!(after saving of course), but I would love to start getting ready for it.
Basically I don't have a Project Management background (also I am not English so the language will be an extra effort). I do have a business degree, and have been woking in business environment since I finish my degree, also some IT experience.
A friend of mine, involved in the Prince2 training industry, has suggested to buy the Prince2 Manual (edition 2005) prior to do the course, so I am going to do that.
But I would like to ask you guys, what else I should be doing in the meantime, readings, homework, etc... to get involved in this area of the business. My idea is spending some months preparing the background and after that, taking my course and exams.
If I pass them, and get my certifications, I would like to be able to say that I am prepared to work in this area, and apply for positions with total guaranties of success. The challenge and effort...that is my job. I don't want to spend money, and time to do a course and just have a piece of paper.
So please let me know, or give me advice on what you think would be valuable and worthy to be doing to be prepared...to be involved in PM...and get to the courses with a excellent knowledge and base.
Kindest regards.
