I am doing some planning for a large( very) IT project where I will be lead on Governance.

The PMO and the Suppliers will almost ceratinly use PMBOK as their project mangement methedology( some would say its an encyclopaedia and not a methodology) and I am not likely to have any influence here.

The Customer has been very specific to allocate the Governance track to a seperate and independant entity with no vendor ties whatsoever.
Now I am thinking to use the PRINCE2 and its approach to fullfilling a large part of the Govermance task.

I like the heavy emphasis on getting it all out in the open during the SU and PI phases.

Anyone done anything simailar before?- ie using PRINCE @ as a governace framework? What else should I be considering?
Cobit ?

I am not new to Governance but fairly new to Prince2 but impressed so far.
