I'm about to do the one week course - apparently it's pretty hectic. Can anybody give me an indication of how much work I need to get done before I start the course?

Regards
Dave

I can whole heartedly recommend you prepare and prepare well!

I also did the 5 day foundation and practitioner course. Theres a lot to go through in the week, surprisingly little time to dwell on any one area, and the practitioner exam took about 3 hours on the Friday afternoon.

The centre I went to provided a very useful plan for pre-course reading you should do over the 10 days run up. From what I remember, it pretty much consisted of reading the entire book twice, doing foundation type questions, and a few other exercises.

Of 4 PMs that went from my company, myself and a colleague who did do the pre-course work both passed both exams. The other 2 pms for various reasons did nothing pre-course, and unsurprisingly failed the practitioner exam. If you do the pre-course reading - you'll also enjoy the week much more.

The Practitioner exam was open book but although I had around 3 hours, I was writing up until the last minute on probably my 15th page. What takes time is finding the relevant information in the book - so the more you know it the better.

Hope this helps - and good luck!
